ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Hollis!​
I’m a certified holistic nutritionist and anti-diet health coach.
I’m also an actor, athlete, dog-mom and a diabetic.

As a health coach, I help clients heal their relationship with food and movement so they can learn to trust their bodies again and embrace an intuitive relationship with food and learn to live joyfully.

I was a year-round competitive swimmer, but due to injuries at 17, I had to stop swimming. I soon developed the habit of binge eating snacks to cope with the stress. I quickly gained weight.
​
Then in college I developed a very unhealthy relationship with exercise and food. I went to the gym 1-2 hours a day 5 days a week, counted calories and lost weight-so soon after I lost my period.

After college, I moved up to NYC to pursue acting and developed intense anxiety and sleeplessness. I started getting up in the pre dawn hours to run and decided to put the habit toward a “healthy pursuit” and ran my first of many half marathons.

Cue using running to "eat whatever I want."

In 2019, things changed big time. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thrown for a loop, I focused on healthy nutrition and meal prepping things that would fuel her body for the chemo treatments.
And in 2020, I got the shock of being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease-LADA diabetes treated as type 1.
That’s when I got serious about:
1) Refocusing on what I’m fueling my body with
2) What I’m feeding my mind (hello meditation and journaling!)
3) Getting certified as a holistic nutritionist and health coach so I could-
Help others recover from their toxic body image habits and dysfunctional relationship with food and exercise and start to trust and love their bodies again.
